Assignment Title: Creating a Glog
Uses in the Classroom: Glogster can be used in a variety of ways within a classroom. Glogster allows a user to create a virtual poster board where they can share almost anything! The virtual poster can include text, graphics, links to websites, and embedded video.Teachers can create a Glog to showcase a new unit being taught or present information on an important historical figure. Students can create a Glog to present a research paper or to showcase a science project. Creating a Glog would also be ideal for a yearbook class to present information digitally.
Issues to Consider: When creating a Glog, you must make sure that you are on a computer or tablet that has Flash. I was unable to work with the Glogster site when on my mobile device (smart phone). Another issue to consider when using Glogster is that it takes some time to get used to. Unlike most software and websites that allow you to hover over an option and present you with a simple overview of what the option does, Glogster does not do this. I found myself having to try out what the various options did by clicking on them instead of seeing what it did before hand. I found this hindered my ability to finish the Glog in a timely manner.
